This silent, illustrated walkthrough uses sample data to explain the manager, driver, and rider workflows.

  1. 00:00 — One shuttle day. Three perspectives. Is the Shuttle Running? connects planning, actual driving activity, and rider-facing service status.
  2. 00:08 — Start with the schedule. Import a Dayforce CSV and retain import history. Employee shifts inform morning arrivals, midday turnover, and evening pickup demand.
  3. 00:18 — Know when the shuttle is needed. Review transportation demand by service window. These example counts represent schedule-derived demand, not confirmed rides.
  4. 00:27 — Put coverage in place. Review driver availability and fair assignments. Managers can adjust coverage and preserve the reason for an override.
  5. 00:37 — Tap. Confirm. Drive. A signed-in driver taps the NFC tag or scans the shuttle QR code and confirms the action. Start, pause, resume, and end events record actual activity separately from the planned assignment.
  6. 00:48 — One link. A clear answer. Riders open their organization’s public shuttle link without an account. The example changes from running to temporarily paused and back to running. Riders can confirm a ride while service is active.
  7. 01:00 — Know what actually happened. Managers compare scheduled coverage with actual driving records and ride confirmations. Example totals show nine scheduled hours, eight hours and forty-five minutes of driving, and eighty-four ride confirmations.
  8. 01:10 — Plan. Operate. Verify. Less guesswork at the stop. More clarity behind the scenes. Visit istheshuttlerunning.com to request a demo.

A few helpful answers

Before you
come aboard.

Is this only a shuttle-status page?

The status page is what riders see. Behind it are schedule imports, demand planning, driver assignments, QR and NFC checkpoints, driving records, and operational analytics.

Do riders need an account?

No. Riders open the organization’s public link to check status. While service is active, they can also confirm a ride without providing a name, employee ID, or email address.

Does it show the shuttle on a GPS map?

The current product shows service status based on driver activity and operational updates. It does not provide live GPS tracking or predicted arrival times.

What happened to RoutePulse?

RoutePulse is becoming Is the Shuttle Running? The new name puts the question riders ask at the center, while keeping the planning and operations tools behind it.
